A little more about me…
Connecting with your Photographer is huge…especially in the Birth Space! It’s important to make sure that you feel comfortable with me before you would consider allowing me to capture such intimate moments. I totally get it. Here are some fun facts about me. - I love taking photos. I always have from a young age…it just took me until I was an adult to realize how much it means to me to be able to help people to see the beauty in both the ordinary and extraordinary moments in life!
- Prior to being a Mom and Photographer, in my professional life, I was an RN. I worked in a Family Practice, then in Labor & Delivery, and finally, in an OBGYN office. Since my early days in Nursing school, I knew that I wanted to be involved with pregnancy, the birthing space, and newborns. Life experience helped me to figure out that the most fulfilling way for me to do that is through my photos.
- I love nature. If I had my choice, I would be sitting on a rock, by a lake, in a mountain valley right now with the birds, bees, and trees….unless I was photographing your birth….I’d definitely rather be there!
- I didn’t allow myself to fully admit it at first, but my own labor and delivery experience was traumatic for me. Nothing really emergent happened, but it still had a huge impact on me and it affected the way that I view the process of laboring and giving birth.
- I’m a bit of a people pleaser. I will over-deliver. I will spend more time with you than what our contract says. I will do everything I can try to make sure you are happy with your experience from start to finish. I can’t help myself.
Location, Location, Location!
I am based in the Janesville, WI area, but am willing to travel up to 90 minutes away for Birth Photography. I’m willing to make exceptions to this service area (within reason) if the need arises. If you are considering my services, but live outside of this area, please don’t hesitate to contact me to discuss it!
